  1. As we previously noted our ministry is essentially a continuation of the legacy of Mother Dorothy King of Reformation African American Lutheran Church originally of the City of Chicago’s Far-Southside.

.2. We hold {inherited via relatedness and servant leadership} the US Bank EIN account of the original early-t0-mid 20th Century Swedish Lutheran Church {Elim Swedish Lutheran Church} that eventually morphed {metamorphosized} into the late 20th Century Reformation Lutheran with a majority African American congregation out of which Mother King emerged -over time- as a distinguished congregational leader and thereby as a local Black Church in-gatherer of our family, relatives and friends.

3. It was Mother King who researched, wrote, and published Reformation Church’s history at the now disbanded Lutherans Online Website.

4. It was Mother King who Chaired Reformation’s Senior Ministry and served on the Church’s Board of Directors {Church Council|. Moreover, it was Mother King who took the lead in donating a $10K grant received by her Senior’s Ministry to the indebted general treasury of Reformation.

5. It was Mother King’s former daughter-in-law with her five children that became outstanding active members of Reformation. Mother King’s five grandchildren served as the backbone of Reformation’s Youth Ministry. Additionally, Mother King’s great grand children are remakbly active in the Youth Ministries of Ambassador Church- of South Suburb Chicago and Covenant of Faith Church-Chicago respectively.

6. It was Mother King who took the lead building, maintaining, and developing Reformation‘s Black History Month Annual Observances. Moreover, she took the lead decorating Reformation’s Fellowship Hall with posters of Black History heroes and sheroes that graced Reformation’s Fellowship Hall walls teaching Black History year round.

7. Mother King’s late son, two daughters, and grandson were funeralized in Reformation’s sanctuary. Moreover, her former daughter-in-law was remarried in Reformation’s sanctuary.

8. Mother King has done great good serving Reformation and it is our ministry’s objective to not let any of her legacy of good at Reformation be lost.

9. Accordingly, Mother King’s Black Church work of doing good continues through our present version of Reformation thereby awarding her her flowers while she is blessed to still live among us and we are likewise blessed to still have her.

10. Our Mother King legacy ministry serves as a key identity, purpose, and direction brand of OUR FATHER’S BUSINESS WEEKLY.
