“We the residents of Maple Pointe, would like the resumption of 24-hour security services.  Lack of security at crucial times {week mornings and afternoons especially} has become problematic.  Individuals who do not live in the building nor are visitors, have entered the building and have been spotted in areas within the building {laundry room, community room, sleeping in stairwells, and on the ledges in hallways}.  Many packages are delivered on the weekends and left unattended, resulting in them being stolen.  We are very afraid for our safety.”  -Effective New Year 2025- 

“PETITION FOR RESUMPTION OF 24-HOUR SECURITY SERVICE

1. The discovery of three non-residents sleeping on the couches in the Community Room at 9AM, Sunday. January 26 2025 past, prompted a concerned resident to immediately call 911 for assistance.

2. The two responding police officers duly rousted the intruders and took their names etc. before escorting out of the building.

3. This recent incident shows that the need of 24/7 security monitoring has reached a crises point.

4. Accordingly, the petition above must be promptly addresses by ownership for the safety of residents, their guests, and Maple Pointe Apartment employees.

5. To his end, we have formed our very own TWENTYFOUR/SEVEN SECURITY: Faith-Based High Rise Block Club-Not For Chicago Only-Southwest Loop.

6. TWENTYFOUR/SEVEN SECURITY etc. is the suggestion of our good neighbor ethics at Maple Pointe Apartments. It is also an expression of the Housing Ministry of BODY & SOUL TELECONFERENC JOURNAL REPORT on the one hand and OUR FATHER’S BUSINESS WEEKLY on the other-referenced above.
